PRIVACY / HOW DATA IS HANDLED

Privacy policy

AdTuck organizes ad references in your browser. This policy describes the information handled by the extension and website, its purpose, and your controls.

Updated: · AdTuck v0.1.0

1. Scope and contact

This policy applies to the browser extension published as AdTuck and the adtuck.org website. For privacy questions or support, contact support@adtuck.org.

The current version does not require an AdTuck account and has no collection upload service, cloud sync, advertising trackers or usage analytics. Processing data only on your device is still data handling and is disclosed below.

2. Information handled by the extension

To identify ads on supported libraries, the extension temporarily reads public fields from loaded ad pages, previews and relevant ad responses. Information is written to the local library when you choose to save it.

  • Advertiser names, ad IDs, public copy, CTAs, landing links, source pages, media URLs and publicly available ad attributes. Advertisers may be individuals, and public ad content may contain names or contact details.
  • Images and supported video files you choose to save.
  • Collections, tags and notes you enter, plus local save/export task states and file details.
  • Selected ad, detail and media URLs for returning to a source, enriching details and retrying. The extension does not record a full history of unrelated browsing.
  • Temporary ad-identification data is bounded in size and kept in page or extension memory, without transmission to AdTuck servers.

3. Purposes

Information is used for visible product features: identifying ads, saving media, enriching public details, displaying sources, searching, filtering, organizing collections and notes, exporting batches, recovering tasks, and making or restoring backups.

Information is not sold or used for personalized advertising, profiling, unrelated analysis or marketing. The current extension does not read or retain account passwords, authentication cookies, payment details, health information or a full browsing history.

4. Local storage and retention

The library is stored in extension storage in your current Chrome profile, including ads, original media and task state. It does not sync automatically with other profiles or devices.

You can delete saved ads, media, notes and task history in the library. Saved records remain until you delete them or remove their extension storage. Temporary runtime data is released when the relevant page or extension runtime ends.

Uninstalling the extension removes its local data. Exported files and backups in your downloads are not automatically removed and remain under your control. Create a full backup before uninstalling, changing devices.

5. Source platforms and third parties

Media downloads connect to the source platforms or their CDNs. To enrich TikTok and LinkedIn ad details, the extension may open background detail tabs, read public content, and close pages still managed by the extension. These pages use normal browser access; source login and verification requirements remain in effect.

Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and their media services may receive your IP address, browser request information and resource URLs under their own policies. Direct media requests do not include credentials stored by AdTuck. The extension does not read, retain or forward authentication cookies, request headers or account information.

AdTuck does not operate a collection upload service. Opening a platform or video source link takes you to a third-party page governed by its terms and privacy policy.

6. Permission purposes

PermissionPurpose
storageStore local task state and small extension settings.
downloadsDownload selected files, ZIP exports and backups through Chrome and confirm their status.
offscreenRun queues, package files and handle Blobs in an extension background document so created tasks do not depend on the ad page staying open.
unlimitedStorageExempt the long-term local library from ordinary browser quotas and eviction; available disk space still limits storage.
Supported platform and media host accessRead supported ad libraries, previews and details and obtain selected public media. The extension does not request access to all websites, cookies or full browsing history.

7. Backups, exports and deletion

Exports and full backups are initiated by you and written to browser downloads, without automatic upload. Backups may contain copy, sources, tags, notes and media, so review them before sharing.

Restore files are validated and merged on your device without automatically refetching source media. Deleting a saved ad does not remove files already exported or shared; manage those copies separately.

AdTuck does not hold your local library and cannot remotely access or delete its records. Use the extension’s deletion and backup controls to manage them.

8. Website and support emails

The website is static, with no login, online payment, analytics scripts or advertising trackers, and it sets no marketing cookies. Feedback drafts are assembled in the current page. A message is sent by your email client after you choose the email link, not submitted automatically by the website.

When you contact support@adtuck.org, your address, message and attachments are used to respond to and handle the request and are delivered through email services. Send only what is needed to diagnose an issue. Do not include passwords, cookies or unnecessary personal information. You may request deletion of support emails at the same address.

Website hosting services may process necessary request logs for page delivery, security and troubleshooting. The website has no analytics or advertising trackers.

9. Security

Supported source and media requests use HTTPS. The extension checks sources, file types, sizes and message boundaries and does not execute remotely hosted code.

Local storage does not mean files are encrypted. Anyone with access to your browser profile, downloads or backups may be able to read them. Protect your device, profile and backup files.

10. Changes

If a future version adds accounts, cloud sync, analytics or other processing, this policy and necessary disclosures will be updated before those features are enabled. The date on this page identifies the policy update.
